Breeding Philosophy
My Pug Story
It all started about the year 2003…
If you have ever been fortunate enough to know a Pug, then you have probably noticed they have a unique ability to steal your heart in about a second flat!
That is what happened to me many years ago.
Living away from home while my late fiance finished up his lineman apprenticeship out of state.
He came home from work one day holding this adorable little snorty fawn dog.
I looked for his owners while taking care of this adorable, quirky, little dog that every day got into more misceif and trouble. Seriously, like chewing up my shoes and anything else he could get his teeth on!
The area I was in was known to have alot of strays and people dumped animals so I amagine that someone let him go or abondoned him.
After checking with all local vets within about 100 miles and the Humane Society and just losing my dog Quincy to cancer 2 days prior to finding him I understood that if someone was looking for this little dog I had no right to keep him.
No one claimed him so he made residence with me in Oregon where I loved him for the rest of his life. I then got Leilee & Rosi and that is how my breeding Pugs journey began. Its been PUGs for me since.
I truely love my Pugs, which is impossible not to with this companion bred breed. They bring so much joy, happiness and some times craziness to my life and my family, I wanted to be able to share them with others.
I am committed to breeding quality, healthy, unique & beautiful Pugs that will live their lives in good health and provide many years of enjoyment and love to their new owners as faithful family members.
I am also committed to placing them in forever homes with owners that are aware of all their potential needs and risks and will agree to give them the care they need for their entire life no matter what the circumstances may be and understand dogs will age and need care to their last day and will agree to give them the best life.
I am breeding for health, disposition, size, substance, conformation and last but not least beautiful color and markings - The total package! I will not knowingly breed any inferior dog or dog that is anything less than perfectly tempered and healthy.
I will screen prospective buyers and do my best to be sure they are prepared for all that is involved with owning one of these remarkable, qwirky animals. Pugs are a truely unique and remarkable breed & with that comes great responsibility, but the rewards are priceless and its a priveledge to share one's life with one of these sweet animals that wants nothing more than to just love every second with you.
Each puppy leaves here well socialized and loved a huge amount from the day they enter this world till the day they join their new family. Our puppies are loved and handled extensively from day one by myself and family. They are exposed to my very busy 7 year old son, other dogs and other people as I deem appropriate.
I do not do visits to protect my little ones precious little immune systems and the health of my dogs which are first and foremost my pets.
I recommend pups not go outside or visit dog traffic areas until they have completed their series of puppy shots so they can be safe, protected and loved for many coming years. I know it’s quite a bit to ask right at the beginning but the reward is having a safe puppy that grows into an adult and finally a senior dog that is your best friend for their entire life up until their very last day.
I will help with anything asked of me and if I don’t know I will find out.
I plan to stay in contact with all of our puppy moms and dads for the life of their Pug and beyond.
