My Pug~cedures
If you think my family and puppies are a good fit for you and your family just contact me via email, fill out a puppy application or call at (503)845-9101. I am more than happy to provide you with references from past puppy Moms and Dads. Once I have spoken with you, had a chance to review your application, I will let you know whether or not you and your family have been a selected home for one of my puppies. I do my best to select only the very best homes for my babies. I try to choose homes that can provide as good of a home or better than I can provide for my little cupcakes.
I take the job of placing my puppies in new, quality homes VERY seriously! They dont just go to the first person with money!
I plan on keeping in touch with each and every one of my puppies new families for the puppies entire life. It is extremely important to me to know how my Pugs are doing. I invest much time and LOVE into them before they are placed in their new homes and cant imagine not knowing how they are living out their lives. Just like a persons child they will always be my babies.
I encourage you to do your research on the breed before acquireing one of these sweet, flat faced, rolley nosed creatures. There are alot of wonderful resources on the internet, the library, the book store, as well as talking to other Pug owners and breeders.
Puppy Names
While the puppies are in my care I give them names. I will never refer to one of my puppies as "pink collar female" or "Male 1" etc.....I love my pups and become very attached to them. You are free to keep the name given to them or are welcome to change it =)
Guarantee
I offer a 2 year health guarantee against any life threatening genetic disease.
If heaven forbid your puppy should be diagnosed with a life threatening genetic disease you will be offered a replacement puppy as soon as one of the same quality becomes available.
*If you are purchasing an adoptee from us, in most cases the puppy/dog, the health guarantee will not transfer over to the new owner.
*In the case of my placing outside puppies, Registration and Health guarantee will differ per the dogs bred, their testing done and their registration.

Full AKC Show/Breeding Registration: $1250.00
Limited AKC Pet Registration: $850.00
Non Papered Pet Puppy: $650.00

~~Just a quick not about puppy prices.....First, I want to say I have puppies because I truely LOVE it and it is a great, life enriching experience. I do not make a living or a ton of money off them. It takes alot of money to care for a litter of quality well cared for puppies before and after their arrival. The expenses begin even before mom is expecting. Both parents go in for Bruccelosis tests and must be vaccinated. Once the breeding has taken place mom goes in for an ultrasound at 30 days to confirm pregnancy. A week before she is due to whelp she goes in for an X-ray for a puppy count. The food it costs to feed a pregnant and nursing dog. The day after the puppies are born I take them and mom in for a check up and an X-ray for mom to make sure everything is going back to normal. At 3-5 days the puppies are back into the vet to have dew claws removed. At 8 weeks they are back in for an over all exam to make sure they are healthy and ready for their new homes. If for any reason from the time they are born until the time they leave they require vet care they are taken in. A litter of puppies and a nursing mom eat alot.
Their bedding is changed several times a day to be sure they are in a clean environment and stay healthy and continue to build a healthy immune system.
Puppies are wormed as well as vaccinated.
Oh and who could forget someone has to care for the parents all year long before a litter ever hits the ground.
Most people dont realize all the expenses, time and dedication, both big and small that is required to raise a quality litter of puppies.
I came out $150.00 ahead once...I bought a puppy scale =)
So thats the method to my madness, try not to end up in the whole too bad...
Limited Registration
All pet/companion puppies are sold with limited registration on a mandatory spay/nueter contract. Proof of spay/nueter from your vet must be provided to me by the time your pup reaches 7 months old. If proof is not received within the allotted time frame the 2 year health guarantee will become null and void. There are NO exceptions.
I try to remember to remind my puppy parents, but I cant guarantee I will remember, so please take the initiative to get that done in the time frame mentioned above.
Experienced Show Home
Puppies will be sold to experienced show homes, and will not require a co-ownership. We will require however, that the puppies registered name begin with our initials Qpids.
Inexperienced Show Home
Puppies may be available to an inexperienced show home, however I may require a co-ownership. Upon completion of a successful AKC or International Championship title I will remove my name from the dogs registration and you will be the sole owner of the dog. If you are "approved" for one of our puppies with the intention of showing we require that the puppies registered name begins with our initials Qpids.
Requirements
~You keep us informed of the puppy/dogs health and provide pictures/updates every 3 months. I've added this to the "rules" because I want to make sure my babies are in good health and happy.
~To be kept informed of the puppies current address for the life of the puppy/dog.
~You provide the puppy with ALL routine and necessary medical care.
~Your puppy/dog will be kept ONLY as an inside pet.
~That you take your puppy to your vet within 72 hours of his/her arrival into your possession and provide me written proof from your vet immediatly but no longer than 5 days, otherwise the 2 year health guarantee will become null and void. Your puppy while in our care, will have had numerous trips to the vet.
~That your puppy/dog will be returned to us if at any point in the life of the puppy/dog you are no longer able to care for him/her. I hope that never happens but I DO NOT want my puppies/dogs to be placed in shelters or bounced around for the remainder of their life.
Deposits
We require half down to hold your puppy. The money y0u put down to hold your puppy is applied to towards the purchase of the puppy you choose. However, if you are unable, for ANY reason to buy your puppy your deposit will not be refunded so please be sure you are ready for this commitment! However, if we change our mind about you or something happens to the puppy while in our care the money will be refunded.
Deposits/Payments must be made in the form of cash or postal money order. We no longer accept checks. Paypal is also an option but you must also include 4% to cover the paypal fees. You will always get a receipt.
Puppies must be paid for in full by the time they reach 7 weeks old, unless other arrangements have been made.
Delivery of Puppies
I am open to delivering puppies to their new homes or meeting new puppy parents within a reasonable distance at an agreed upon location. Buyers are responsible for the cost of my fuel to deliver the puppy to an agreed upon location. I will only charge what it will cost for me to get back home.
Shipping
I do prefer that all our puppies stay local but will not deny my puppies a fabulous home because of distance. If I do ship I prefer it to be within the US but may consider other areas. If your interested contact me and we will go from there.
All shipping expenses are the responsibility of the buyer & must be paid in full by the time the puppy is 7 weeks old. A ballpark figure for shipping is about $300.00 - $400.00(within the US)
Puppy Care Package
Your puppy will leave my home healthy and happy, with his/her age appropriate shot(s), dew claws removed, micro chipped(if requested), bathed and nails trimmed. Along with your puppy you will receive from us a basket with the following contents: A special toy and blanket your puppy has had since close to birth, a high quality small breed food sample, information/records packet and AKC registration application
