This puppy is a purebred Chinese Pug, registrable with the American Kennel Club. Upon execution of this contract and with reasonable time allowed for paperwork to be registered with AKC, The buyer to give seller appropriate spay/nueter certificate if limited registration, the seller does hereby convey title and interest in the puppy to the buyer.

Health Guarantee
We offer a 2 year health guarantee against any life threatening debilitating genetic/congenital defects/diseases which adversely affects the health of the animal (Pug must not be grossly overweight/Owners must not have exposed Pug to hazardous elements or situations for this guarantee to be in effect.) If, heaven forbid your puppy should be diagnosed with a life threatening genetic disease you may be offered a replacement puppy of the same value as soon as one becomes available. In order for this to be enforceable the purchaser must provide a written statement from the purchasers vet and a failed severe OFA test (if applicable). Written statement will be shared with breeders vet for agreement on condition.
This guarantee does not cover disorders which may occur in the Pug breed, a trait of the breed that makes a Pug a Pug and are not considered life altering nor serious: Including but not limited to: entropion, skin allergies, elongated soft palate, and stenotic nares (collapsed nostrils). This guarantee does not cover umbelical hernias, which are easily correctable and often resolve on their own around six months of age. Demodex mange in any form is NOT covered in this health guarantee. There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, improper care and exposure, failing to protect the puppy from elements, allergies, thyroid dysfunction, and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered by this guarantee. Minor defects that are of little consequence for the puppy’s health are not covered. Such as: A minor under bite or overbite, dry eyes, sinus disorders such as snoring(it’s a pug!) and or being wall eyed. Its cute, your baby will not need glasses! Hypoglycemia is not covered from over handling, major stress, exposure to large heat and cold variations. These are management problems not genetic or hereditary.
Breeder will not be responsible for any air borne virus after the puppy leaves breeders premises, as these are highly contagious diseases and they can be contacted immediately after leaving the Breeder.
I do not require that your puppy be returned to be eligible for a replacement puppy but if you want to return the puppy I am more than happy to take him/her back. If you decide to return your puppy, breeder takes no financial responsibility for travel, shipping, etc.
All age appropriate vaccinations and worming are current. IN order for this guarantee to be enforceable buyer must take puppy to their vet within three (3) days - 72 hours of having possession of puppy and have vet notify breeder immediatly of findings and mail paper copy.
Holding Agreement
In consideration of a deposit of half the sale price, the breeder assigns a puppy and guarantees that said puppy will not be sold to any other party other than the buyer. The remaining balance, the buyer agrees to purchase said puppy for the total purchase price, plus any and all shipping costs. The deposit is non-refundable. If the stated puppy should become unavailable to the buyer, (due to death or injury) the breeder will offer buyer another puppy of same value or refund the deposit amount.
At the time of final purchase and physical transfer of said puppy the full deposit taken will be applied to the purchase price.
Limited Registration-Pet Puppy
All pet/companion puppies are sold with limited registration on a mandatory spay/neuter contract(unless otherwise noted). Puppy must be spayed or neutered when reaching 6 months of age or maturity. Proof must be sent by mail from vet immediatly but no later than 9 months of age, if not received by 9 months or if the pet puppy is bred health guarantee is null and void.
Breeder holds said puppies registration papers until the buyer supplies breeder with conformation from vetrinarian of spay/nueter certificate(unless otherwise noted).
Full Registration-Show/Breeding Puppy
It is understood and agreed that the puppy MAY BE / MAY NOT BE used for show and breeding purposes. The seller does not guarantee future size, color, breeding or show potential or quality of the purchased puppy or any future puppies produced from said puppy.
Buyer agrees to inform us of any titles or awards won. Buyer also agrees to send updates of liters whelped and liters fathered.
The buyer agrees to take the puppy to a vet withing 72 hours and provide seller with findings.
Buyer agrees to care for this dog properly, feed quality food and provide fresh, clean water at all times. House the dog properly (INDOORS), take dog to a licensed veterinarian at least once annually, or more often if necessary (and more often in puppy's first year, as needed) maintain vaccinations and any other veterinarian recommended health care, and control dog, keeping dog safe by means of harness and leash in public and when off the premises of the dogs home. (Collars used with a lead/leash may apply pressure on the trachea which can be harmful, or even life threatening for a Pug. We recommend that a non-snug collar be worn with I.D. tags, rabies tags, etc, but a a harness be used with a lead/leash. Buyer understands that Pugs often slip out of collars so for this reason as well a harness is recommended. The dogs outdoor area will be secure and with acceptable provisions to assure the dogs safety and time he/she is outdoors. Buyer will see to dogs proper physical, social and emotional care and welfare. Buyer must agree to house the dog INDOORS and understands that Pugs overheat more easily than most breeds (and cold weather is just as dangerous). If the dog is found to be living in poor health or poor conditions, kept outdoors(the majority of the time), or allowed to run freely, running at large, creating a public nuisance, in danger, in a mass producing kennel or in a "puppy farm"/"puppymill" the seller/breeder has all rights to gain repossession of this dog from buyer at no cost to seller/breeder. Any and all court costs associated with this action will be paid by buyer. This dog unless otherwise stated, is warranteed only for the purpose of being a companion animal and is not to be used in any kind of mass production, ie: "puppy farm"/"puppymill", kennel, dog farm or any other kind of mass production situation. If puppy is sold with full Breeding rights, females are not to be bred more than once annually and not before 18 months of age.
Buyer agrees to return the original signed copy of this health guarantee to the breeder within 7 days of receiving it.
We require you keep us informed of the health of the puppy/dog and provide updates atleast every 3-6 months. To be kept informed of the animals address for the life of the pet. The buyer may at any time return the puppy to the seller after having the animal examined by a vet to be sure the animal is healthy and has not been compromised. Puppy is not to be sold or given away in any means accept by writen consent of breeder/seller. If the animal is found to be at a different address with different people the breeder/seller may take ownership and possession of said dog. Returning the dog to the breeder is in the best interest of all involved if buyer is unable to care for the pet. It is understood and agreed that the seller will not refund the purchase price in any means of said puppy once buyer takes possession of said puppy.
Shipping/Pick up
We have made every effort to provide you with a healthy puppy. It is understood that breeders preference is that the buyer comes to pick puppy up and accompany the puppy home on the flight. If the buyer is unable, the breeder guarantees that the breeder will send each puppy under the airlines guidelines if being shipped by air. If purchaser wants to pick puppy up he/she can do so. The breeder will prepare each puppy for the flight. Cupid's Pugs does not guarantee for air born diseased. Having the puppy insured with the airlines is recommended.
As soon as the puppy leaves the breeders premises for delivery the buyer holds all responsibility and liability for the puppy. Cost for shipping the puppy with an airline is $375.00 and is payable to seller using paypal plus 10%, 10 days prior to puppies flight leaving.
***We recommend keeping your puppy’s contacts limited (No trips to dog parks, parks, Petco, etc) as recommended by your veterinarian as their immunities need adequate time to build. We recommend that if you have to take your puppy out to always carry your puppy and do not allow your puppy to walk on the ground. We also very strongly recommend that the puppy is allowed adequate time to settle in to its new surroundings, home and owners before put into stressful situations, trips, vacations, etc. Also, a tracking chip for your pug. They are one of the most stolen breeds out there! (Its because they are just so friendly and no one is ever a stranger!) ***This contract is valid for the original purchaser that purchased the dog from Cupid’s Pugs. If the dog is transferred to another owner this contract is null and void, as the breeder has no way of knowing how the dog is cared for or to whom the puppy would be placed with.
